Key Elements
Mood: Pitching a project to re-visit and re-imagine an author’s work needs to be approached with care. Sincere appreciation for the original work must be demonstrated from the start. Throughout the project all components are compared to the book’s original artwork to preserve the artistic integrity and vision.
Palette: The color choices are carefully selected to match the line art style of the original drawings, but at the same time there are jewels of selected color to add interest. My desire is to have the work compliment the line art style, but gently enhance the narrative consistent with the embellishment that animation adds.
Choices: As this is a very speculative pitch, speed and efficiency of the production pipeline is paramount. The choices of art creation and methods of presentation reflect the desire to impress the author while demonstrating the many creative options.
